What an experience to be on hand for another’s creative process. I have a tendancy to
sputter in spurts as my memory & energy are sporadic. Aza is dogged when it
comes to her art. She’ll labor long thru the night to get an image right.
To read more about her, here’s a link to Bill Nigh’s interview.
Pirate Kitty is a story of companionship, camaraderie & courage. Even Heroes need
help. No one does nothing alone. The willingness to keep our mates buoyed up in the
Sea of circumstance determines our humanity.
Aza had the gracious help of her best friend Carole of Miss Jean Designs in the making of the felted actors as well as the support of many pals who have encouraged & inspired her.
She plans to team with Black Cat rescue groups & use the toon & picture book as a fun tool to teach kids tolerance & kindness to our fellow beings. She’s self-publishing the book so she opened an on-line store to sell cards & posters of the art with royalties going toward the cost of publication.
Thanks from us & Capt. Black who looked, liked & left a comment on
Feedback is food to the starving artist.
